Bakers and confectioners can look forward to this year's südback from October 26 to 29. The trade fair, originally planned for the following year, has been postponed to 2026.

The organizers want to help companies early planning security The reason is the high density of trade fairs and the associated limited availability of personnel and financial resources many exhibiting companies. The decision was based on intensive discussions with the exhibitors.
"We considered early on how we would respond to the Changed trade fair sequence for bakers and confectioners in Germany can react," explains Stefan Lohnert, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart. "It was important to us to southback in Stuttgart and within the familiar timeframe. A short-term postponement in the packed 2026 calendar has now made this solution possible."
The next südback after this year’s autumn edition will take place from 24 to 27 October 2026. In 2027, the Trade fair for bakers and confectioners as usual, before returning to the usual rhythm in 2028 and 2029 at the Stuttgart location takes place.

Organised by Messe Stuttgart, Sachsenback in Dresden (18 to 20 April 2026) is not affected by this decision.
The southback, Trade fair for bakery and confectionery, meet in autumn 2024 around 600 exhibiting companies on trade visitors from Germany and abroad. At the exhibition stands, the companies present on approximately 65.000 gross square meters the main focuses Work and operating technology, raw materials, merchandise, business equipment and furnishings, sales promotion and services related to the baking trade.
The successful mix of a traditional trade fair and supporting program offers trade visitors numerous opportunities to learn about trends and new products and to engage with colleagues and experts. As sponsors and partners, Bäko-Zentrale eG, the Baden-Württemberg Bakers' Guild Association, and the Baden-Württemberg State Guild Association of the Confectionery Trade support the implementation and conception of the trade fair.
