Light + Building and Automechanika trade fairs postponed
Messe Frankfurt will not hold the Light + Building and Automechanika trade fairs in September after all. New dates have already been set for both trade fairs.

Messe Frankfurt has again postponed the Automechanika Frankfurt and Light + Building trade fairs originally planned for September 2020
Alternative dates are already available for both trade fairs:
The Automechanika Frankfurt should be from 14 to 18 September 2021 and then always in odd years (instead of the previous even years).
The next Light+Building will only be renewed on a regular basis by 13. to 18. March 2022 It had already been postponed once.
No guarantee for major events in autumn
The Messe Frankfurt has joined forces with its partners, the associations of electrical industry ZVEI and the Electrical trade ZVEH decided that, according to the latest decree of the Federal Government and the federal states, there is no guarantee that large-scale events will be allowed to take place again in Germany in the autumn.
A planned preparation and implementation of the Light+Building could not be secured, it is said.
To the World's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology 2.700 exhibitors from over 50 countries attended. Light + Building 2018 attracted 220.000 visitors, half of whom came from abroad.
Tense situation
The Automechanika Frankfurt 2020 was planned for September 8-12, 2020. Due to the current tense situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Messe Frankfurt, together with customers, partners, and associations, has agreed to reschedule the international trade fair again – to September 14-18, 2021.
At its last event, Automechanika counted almost 5.000 exhibitors from 76 countries and 135.000 visitors.
