DCONex: current developments in pollutant management

The DCONex Conference + Exhibition on 28 and 29 January in Congress Center Halle Münsterland provides a platform for industry professionals to engage with the latest Developments and challenges in dealing with pollutants to deal with. 

The DCONex, annual meeting of the pollutant remediation and disposal industry, promises valuable impulses and practical insights into current industry topics. The congress will be led by experts from General Association for Pollutant Remediation (GVSS) and Rudolf Müller Media Group professionally oriented. Olaf Fertilizer, Chairman of the GVSS, describes the new situation: "The amended Hazardous Substances Ordinance specifies the Occupational safety measures when handling asbestos and brings new regulations for executing companies. The regulation brings important innovations, particularly for companies in the waste disposal and recycling sector." The event will address all these aspects of the updated Hazardous Substances Ordinance and discuss their practical implications.

Changes due to the amended Hazardous Substances Ordinance 

A central part of the first day of the conference will be a detailed examination of the new provisions of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance, in particular the new regulations on asbestos treatment and waste declaration. The second day will be dedicated to practical challenges and requirements for safety and health in contaminated working environmentsIn three parallel sessions, experts will present the latest research findings and application examples. The session on asbestos analysis, which will explore current issues and perspectives, will be particularly interesting for laboratory professionals.

Further attention is paid to the topics "Circular Construction" and "Big Data", which also play an important role at DCONex 2025. Markus Langenbach from the Rudolf Müller Media Group explains: "The enormous challenges of the future, especially the Raw material consumption and recycling, are being discussed intensively. Digitalization and the handling of data are becoming increasingly important for the industry. We therefore also offer a topic block on 'Data and Information Management for Structural and Technical Facilities'."
