New scholarship for founders in Rhineland-Palatinate

1.000 euros a month – for a whole year! Founders in Rhineland-Palatinate can now apply for the new "Start.in.RLP" start-up grant.

Aspiring entrepreneurs in Rhineland-Palatinate can apply for the new Start.i.RLP startup grant from October 15th to February 28th, 2022. Grant recipients will receive €1.000 gross per month for one year . The program also includes intensive coaching , which is designed to significantly increase the chances of a successful market launch.

Among other requirements, the company must have no more than ten employees and an annual turnover of no more than two million euros . The target group is explicitly micro-enterprises. Furthermore, the company must not have been founded more than one year prior to application or should have been founded shortly thereafter.

The scope is open, they say: whether it's an IT solution for goods logistics, sustainable solutions for the construction industry , or a shop with social support elements. Application forms are available from accredited startup networks , including the chambers of skilled crafts in the state.

The "Boiler Room of the Future" campaign enters its second round.

Minister of Economic Affairs Daniela Schmitt hopes for exciting and innovative applications for the scholarship. "Starting a business is time-consuming and often nerve-wracking. With this new scholarship, we want to help founders focus on their projects as much as possible," Schmitt told the press.

Founders are required to have an initial consultation with an accredited startup network . The network will review the business plan for plausibility and, if the plan is deemed satisfactory, will send the founder an application link. The selection of scholarship recipients will take place during statewide jury sessions. The funding is administered by the Investment and Structural Bank of Rhineland-Palatinate (ISB).

Founder's grant in North Rhine -Westphalia: In North Rhine-Westphalia, founders can also apply for a similar grant of €1.000 per month for one year. Further information is available here.
