New start-up campaign launches under the motto "All good reasons"

With a statewide campaign under the motto "All good reasons," the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs is promoting business start-ups and business successions in the skilled trades, industry, and services sectors.

Brandenburg's Minister of Economic Affairs, Daniel Keller (SPD), emphasized the state's economic dynamism at the presentation of the initiative in Potsdam : "Our self-employment rate of 10,5 percent is the highest among the eastern German states . But we want to attract even more people to self-employment and entrepreneurship."

Supporting generational change

The background to this is the impending generational change : around 47.000 companies in Brandenburg are looking for a successor in the coming years. The new campaign, financed by the European Social Fund Plus, highlights Brandenburg's locational advantages – from strong networks and funding opportunities to the high quality of life.

The campaign focuses on real success stories from the region: founders and successors describe their motivations and experiences. It will be implemented across multiple media platforms – from print and social media to events.

Furthermore, the initiative provides information about advisory services, including the "Start-up in Brandenburg (GiB)" funding program. The Chambers of Skilled Crafts and other partners offer free support in financing, business consulting, and industry networking.

Minister Keller pointed to existing funding programs such as the Brandenburg Master Craftsman Start-up Bonus and the business succession support program. The aim is to further strengthen Brandenburg as an attractive location for start-ups.
