Federal government adopts start-up strategy

The Federal Cabinet has adopted a comprehensive start-up strategy. Implementation of the measures in ten different areas of action is now underway.

The start-up strategy now adopted by the cabinet is the first entrepreneurial initiative passed by a German federal government . The goal: to improve the framework conditions for start-up companies both in Germany and in Europe . Various measures in ten areas of action are to be implemented within this legislative period.

"The German government's start-up strategy is therefore a very important signal . Start-ups are young, innovative companies that want to grow. They develop new ideas and drive innovation. Start-ups push us towards the future. By improving the conditions for start-ups in Germany and Europe, we simultaneously strengthen our economic position ," says Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens).

Improve financing options

Strategy: Here you will find the German government's detailed start-up strategy . Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) has announced a future financing law with which he intends to improve financing options . "There is no shortage of private capital for innovations. Often, however, the right framework conditions are lacking so that investments in start-ups can actually succeed," he explains.

The new law is intended to make it easier for startups to access the capital market and raise equity capital . Lindner: "We will also strengthen employee share ownership so that it becomes a real boost to ownership. We will reduce bureaucracy – because only then will founders be able to concentrate on what they do best: putting their ideas into practice."
