The Federal Congress of Women Entrepreneurs in the Skilled Crafts (UFH) met in Bingen. In addition to the election of the new board, topics such as employer branding, energy, and climate protection were on the agenda.
At this year’s Federal Congress of the EntrepreneursWomen in Crafts (UFH), which took place from 17 to 19 October 2024 in Bingen, a new Federal Board was elected. The previous Board, headed by Tatjana Lanvermann did not run for re-election. Lanvermann was elected honorary chairwoman.
The new federal chairwoman was elected with a large majority Katja Lilu Melder elected as Metal and welding master and proprietress is BMG Santec GmbH In her inaugural speech, Melder emphasized how important it was to her to promote the visibility of women in the skilled trades. "I am honored and very grateful for this great support and approval for my election as the new UFH Federal Chairwoman. I am craftswoman with passion and heart and soul and stand for even greater visibility and positioning of women in the craft industryI am very pleased that I can contribute my passion even more intensively to the UFH." She also highlighted the challenges currently facing the skilled trades and called for Courage and determination to to shape the path to a successful future together.
The new board is composed of other experienced personalities: Silke Countess Falco di Torre Pellice, master hairdresser from UFH Working Group Würzburg, became deputy federal chairman . Manuela Gross, Gas station owner from Ingolstadt, takes over the office of treasurer. The press spokesperson was Cornelia Lutz, senior executive at GHM Society for Craft Fairs and UFH supporting member.
Jeanette Peters, Change Manager from the UFH working group Dortmund, will in future be secretary In addition, Carola Zarth, President is Berlin Chamber of Crafts, was co-opted into the Board of Directors. Miriam Schulze, Head of Department at Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH), is considered Managing Director support the Board.

The UFH Congress annually highlights the Importance of the network and mutual support of women entrepreneurs in the skilled trades. Together, the Visibility and positioning of women in the industry will be further strengthened.
Another highlight of the congress was the award of the "Entrepreneur Woman of the Year 2024". This honor went to Nadine Bönninger of Scaffolding Bönninger from Dortmund. The title "Heroine in Crafts 2024" received Alice Brammertz from the Brammertz Carpentry from Aachen.
