The 35th State Association Conference of the Women Entrepreneurs in Crafts NRW The motto of the conference in Wuppertal was "Women, Crafts, Circular Economy: The Future is Female and Sustainable." Following the opening by state chairwoman Juana Bleker and Birgit Krüger, chairwoman of the Wuppertal working group, Minister of Culture and Science Ina Brandes (CDU) emphasized the role of women in the economy, arguing that more female specialists and managers are needed there.

The subsequent presentation by Andreas Mucke, Managing Director of Circular Economy Accelerator GmbH, focused on the topic of "circular economy." He reported on the Circular Valley initiative. Its funding program offers support for startups from all over the world. At the same time, it aims to raise awareness of the circular economy.

The impetus for the circular economy was discussed in the subsequent panel between Juana Bleker, Arnd Krüger, master craftsman of the Solingen-Wuppertal Hospital, the mayor of Wuppertal, Dagmar Liste-Frinker, and Andreas Mucke. The topic of sustainability affects everyone, and all generations must take action.

The second discussion, on the topic of "Women in the Skilled Crafts," was led by Nadine Bönninger, Entrepreneur in the Skilled Crafts 2024, Alice Brammertz, Heroine in the Skilled Crafts 2024, and Lea Heuer, Miss Skilled Crafts 2024. They shared their journeys in the skilled crafts and their experiences. Bönninger is Managing Director of Gerüstbau Bönninger GmbH & Co. KG. She values ​​good collaboration between different cultures within the company. She demonstrates this to her employees every day by promoting an open corporate culture.
