This article is part of the special topic Electromobility for trades and medium-sized businesses
Like hardly any other manufacturer Renault credentials for Electromobility promotedWhether in the passenger car sector with the Zoe, whether in the transporter sector with the Kangoo or for the individual mobility of TwizyThe brand with the diamond logo has rarely been at a loss for electric solutions. With the latest product in the van range, the Renault Info, the brand is once again ahead of its competitors: It offers a purely electric transport solution for each seriesThe new addition will be available from autumn.

Under the sheet metal, there is a 52 kWh battery, which the van up to 297 kilometers range according to WLTP. There is also a version that limits the top speed of the van to 90 km/h, thus Reach on total 322 kilometers extendedThe launch was given to the L2H1 and L2H2 versions, each 5,50 meters long and two meters high – and in the case of the H2 roof height – 2,50 meters. Next year should still be the classic variant L1H1 as a panel van and as a Double cab consequences.
With these dimensions, the corresponding Loading volumesDerived from 5,8 to 8,9 cubic meters With a double cabin the loading volume is reduced to 3,3 and 5,5 cubic metres respectively with the high roof. The loading length is also important. Thanks to a through-loading hatch, the vehicle transport parts up to 4,15 meters long such as pipes or boards; the information applies to the long version L2. In the Short version L1 fit parts with a maximum length of 3,75 meters, which is significantly more than the construction site dimension of three meters.
Payload over 1,1 tons

This depends on the configuration of the passenger seat as a single or double seat.
A proven synchronous motor with 90 kW/122 hpThey accelerate the Trafic to 100 km/h in 13,6 seconds, after which there is only a further 10 km/h increase. Electric car is automatically limited to 110 km/h, so as not to waste the battery's range on speed. However, it is also clear that the battery quickly loses its power when accelerating at full throttle. According to Renault, the Trafic should have a range of between Consume 22,21 and 17,95 kWh per 100 kilometers, which ranges between 240 and 297 kilometers In the practical test on country roads around Bordeaux, the consumption of the test vehicles with 350 kilograms of payload and two people on board was between 19 and 20 kWh – a reasonable value.
50 kW charging system follows
The battery is mounted under the floor in the traditional way, so that nothing is sacrificed for the cargo space. When the battery is empty, it can be 3,7 kW wallbox in around 17 hours from ten percent to a full 100 percent With alternating current, a maximum of 22 kW charging power This will allow the energy level to rise from 15 to 80 percent in just under an hour and a half. A charging system for 50 kW direct current will follow.

The driver has a clear view of the instrument panel, providing exactly what he's used to with the combustion engine version.
Comfort and technology in the electric van
What has also remained is the Functionality as a mobile office with plenty of storage space or an optional storage compartment for a laptop that conveniently transforms into a work surface for the computer. Of course, the electric van also has a classic multimedia system.
