Secure a 900 euro subsidy for charging points in company parking lots

There's still a €900 subsidy available for private charging stations for companies and the self-employed through KfW, for example, for electric cars in employee parking lots. Anyone interested should act quickly, though.

Our preview of up to 900 Euro supports the Federal Ministry of Transport new and non-public charging points for electric vehicles, which can be charged at companies, for example, in the employee parking lot, as the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) According to the KfW There are still funds available. If you are interested, you should hurry, because the Funds are quickly exhausted, says KfW.

Important! To receive funding, you must submit an application, before the charging station (such as the Wallbox). More information can be found in the KfW grant portal.

The subsidy will support the purchase and installation of new charging stations in non-public parking spaces

• of electric vehicles company-owned vehicle fleet,
• of commercially used Car sharing vehicles or
• of Employees' electric vehicles a company.

All can be funded Companies, sole proprietors, freelancers, public corporations and non-profit organizations.

• The investment subsidy is a maximum of 900 euros for each charging point.
• A maximum of 45.000 euros is available per location or investment address.

The current required for the charging process must 100 percent from renewable energies This can be purchased from the electricity supplier or generated internally. The charging infrastructure does not have to be publicly accessible.  

Requirements for the charging station:

• It is only used to charge commercial vehicles or those of employees.
• It is located in an area not accessible to the public.
• The charging power corresponds to the nominal charging power specified by the manufacturer.
• Installation and commissioning are carried out by a specialist company.

Eligible costs and services:

• Charging station (hardware)
• Energy and charging management systems
• Electrical connection and battery storage systems
• Necessary installation work (e.g. earthworks)
• Necessary technical and structural measures at the grid connection point/building
• Necessary modernization measures for the building's electrical system
