Use the bureaucracy reporter!

Every company can describe its bureaucratic burdens online using the bureaucracy reporter of the Chambers of Crafts in Frankfurt (Oder) and Potsdam.

Studies show that individual Craftsmen now have to spend more than 30 percent of their working time on bureaucratic tasksThe necessary investments in personnel or special software further burden craft businesses. The proliferation of documentation and reporting requirements also makes it difficult to find company successors or to establish new craft businesses.

Reducing bureaucracy in the skilled trades: Urgent action needed

Both the federal and state governments have adopted many of the skilled trades' demands for bureaucracy reduction in their coalition agreements. However, these plans have not yet been implemented in concrete terms. Therefore, the skilled trades must continue to put pressure on politicians to reduce bureaucracyThis requires the help of the craft businesses in the state. In the first quarter of this year, the Chamber of Crafts in Frankfurt (Oder) was the first of the Brandenburg Chambers of Crafts to conduct the Online bureaucracy reporter one that Chamber of Crafts in Potsdam has followed this example.

Frank Ecker, Chief Executive Officer of Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder), explains the goal of the Bureaucracy Reporter: "Our companies and our chambers have been concerned about the considerable bureaucratic burden for some time. A counter-trend must be initiated here. During our numerous business consultations, we ask our companies where the shoe pinches most in terms of bureaucratic burden. Using the online portal, companies can provide concrete examples and make suggestions at any time on how bureaucracy could be reduced and eliminated."

Frank Ecker: "At the moment, the portal is still being used somewhat hesitantly. My appeal to the skilled tradespeople is therefore: Get involved. Because only if we provide many, and above all, concrete, examples can we communicate this to politicians and then provide relief." Chief Executive Frank Ecker describes the exchange with the new state government as "constructive and positive": "The last state government already initiated the special committee on bureaucracy reduction we called for. The new coalition established the committee in the state parliament, and it has already met four times. We have presented concrete points and demands during these meetings, and we have the impression that politicians have recognized that businesses must be effectively relieved of bureaucracy."
