Summer Festival of Crafts: Hope needs action
Taking action instead of waiting: With this message, the summer festival of crafts on September 4th at Campus Handwerk sent a clear signal.
The addition of logos or emblems to personal protective equipment (PPE) must never lead to the loss of type approval or a reduction in its protective effect – textile rental service providers like DBL implement this professionally. (Photo: © DBL)

Special features such as EasyBrand facilitate the integration of logos and emblems into workwear and personal protective equipment – while taking all safety requirements into account.
The individual customization of workwear is also widespread in the skilled trades. New solutions like EasyBrand are designed to facilitate the integration of logos and emblems without compromising the protective function of the clothing.
For many businesses, workwear with the company logo is part of a professional image. Individually customized workwear ensures a uniform corporate image and increases company visibility to customers. However, care is required when planning and implementing logos, emblems, or name markings, especially with personal protective equipment (PPE).
Neither the material, the protective effect, nor the prescribed warning areas may be compromised. The requirements for the material, size, and position of the emblems must correspond to the respective protective objectives of the clothing.
The EasyBrand function addresses these requirements. According to Sören Welzhofer of Deutsche Berufskleider-Leasing-GmbH, simply applying a logo is not enough: "The finishing must be carried out in such a way that the certified properties are preserved."
The EasyBrand feature offers special details such as detachable pocket bags and custom-designed cuts. These allow for easy and precise logo placement without, for example, interfering with embroidery on chest pockets. Winter and softshell jackets feature special lining openings for direct access to the outer material. Areas on the chest, sleeves, and back are intentionally left unmarked for company branding.
Such finishing zones have been implemented in current collections, for example in the Activiq workwear, the Reflectiq high-visibility collection, and the Protectiq multi-norm collection . According to Welzhofer, EasyBrand creates excellent conditions for individualization. At the same time, it remains crucial that every finishing touch is implemented in accordance with standards and tailored to the specific garment.
The rental service offered by Deutsche Berufskleider-Leasing GmbH includes not only selection and professional finishing, but also regular collection, professional cleaning, inspection, and, if necessary, repair or replacement of the clothing. This ensures a uniform appearance for companies without compromising safety.
