imm cologne is reorganizing its offerings
With a realignment of the sub-brands "Global Sourcing" and "Retail Furniture", imm cologne 2027 aims to respond even more strongly to the needs of exhibitors and visitors.
This article is part of the special feature on trade fairs for the skilled trades.
imm cologne intends to further differentiate its focus on the international furniture trade according to sourcing and distribution . At the trade fair from January 19 to 22, 2027, in Cologne, the two sub-brands "Global Sourcing " and "Retail Furniture" will appear for the first time under the umbrella brand imm cologne.
The background to this is a shift in the international furniture market . Global production and supply companies are gaining importance as procurement partners for European retailers. At the same time, demand for ready-to-market furniture in the entry-level to mid-price segment remains strong. With its new brand structure, imm cologne aims to address these diverse requirements more effectively within a single trade fair. "With the new sub-brands Global Sourcing and Retail Furniture, imm cologne provides clear orientation and opens up targeted business opportunities for market participants," says Bernd Sanden , Director of imm cologne. The trade fair continues to see itself as an international business platform for the consumer-oriented furniture industry.
Global sourcing consolidates international procurement
The "Global Sourcing" sub-brand is located in Hall 11.1 and is aimed at companies seeking international production and sourcing opportunities . The concept encompasses OEM and ODM manufacturing, private label, contract manufacturing, and the development and procurement of new products and collections. For European buyers, this area is designed to provide an overview of diverse manufacturing expertise, sources of supply, and production options.
International manufacturers and suppliers meet purchasing and procurement decision-makers from across Europe there. The product range focuses primarily on the entry-level price segment . Planned items include upholstered and living room furniture, bedroom furniture and mattresses, tables and chairs, as well as apartment, children's, and youth furniture . Bathroom and sanitary ware furniture is also part of the offering.
Retail Furniture is aimed at the European trade.
In Hall 10.2, the sub-brand "Retail Furniture" presents ready-to-sell furniture and market-ready product ranges in the entry-level to mid-price segment. The target audience includes manufacturers and brands, as well as buying groups and decision-makers from both brick-and-mortar and online furniture retailers . The focus is on furniture and interior design solutions for the European consumer market.
In addition to upholstered furniture, living room and bedroom furniture, the product range includes kitchen and dining room furniture, tables and chairs, apartment furniture, and children's and youth furniture. The assortment is complemented by home textiles, accessories, lighting and lighting systems, as well as flooring and wall and ceiling solutions. This extends beyond the classic furniture range and incorporates other elements of interior design.
New structure from 2027
The trade fair in January 2027 will mark the launch of the new brand architecture. For the first time, two independent areas, "Global Sourcing" and "Retail Furniture," will be combined under the imm cologne umbrella brand. The organizers are thus aiming for a clearer separation between international sourcing and the offering of ready-to-sell furniture for the European market.
