In 2026, over 3900 projects from 57 countries were submitted to the German Design Award, with international submissions accounting for 52 percent. The selection was made by a jury of independent international experts. The award recognizes projects that drive innovation through design, take responsibility, and create new perspectives. The prize is awarded by German Design Council.
