Female entrepreneurs from Saxony can now apply for the Saxon Women Founders Award. Women who founded or took over their business between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2024, are eligible to apply.
Since March 1st, female entrepreneurs with a sole proprietorship, small or medium-sized enterprise in the environmental, cultural, social, industrial, commercial, craft or service sectors have been able to apply for the Saxon Women Founders Award Women who founded or took over their business between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2024 are eligible to apply.
The prize has been awarded by the Saxon State Government Awarded for entrepreneurial achievements by women in the Free State, since 2022 in two categories: 5.000 euros each go to a female founder whose company has been on the market for less than three years, and to a female founder whose company has already existed for more than three years.

In addition to the prize money, the winners will receive a short film portrait of their company as well as accompanying public relations support. A jury will evaluate and weigh the business concepts and strategies of the submitted applications. The winners will be announced on November 25, 2026, in Leipzig.
Applications can be submitted until June 1st via the Participation portal of the Free State of Saxony to be submitted.
