Fireplace installation: deduct tradesman’s invoice
The work performed by a tradesman for the subsequent installation of a fireplace saves taxes. The tax credit for the customer can amount to up to €1.200.

Lucky are those who have a fireplace at home during this dark lockdown November and can make themselves comfortable in front of the fire. Anyone who still wants to buy a fireplace can do so with a Tax relief for the craftsman's invoice expected.
"Whether it is an open fireplace or a tiled stove, a craftsman is required for professional installation. The costs of the craftsman can range from 20 percent to 1.200 euros for the Work performance and arrival and departure can be claimed by tenants, landlords or homeowners in their tax returns," explains the Wage tax assistance Bavaria.
tax bonus Private customers can claim 20 percent of the labor costs up to a maximum of 6.000 euros each year for renovation and refurbishment work within your own four walls. If you reach the maximum amount, you receive a tax bonus of 1.200 euros.
As proof, the tax office requires a correctly prepared invoice and one statement of account (see checklist). It does not matter whether it is an old building or a new one. "The latter, however, must already inhabited so that the personal tax burden can be directly reduced," say the tax experts.
However, the material costs for the fireplace itself are exempt. And: "If public funding is claimed for this measure, unfortunately, double billing is not possible, and the tax relief will be lost due to other benefits."
