Dirk Fischer, President of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts of the Palatinate, was awarded the Gold Craftsman's Badge of the Central Association of German Skilled Crafts (ZDH). ZDH President Jörg Dittrich presented the certificate.
For his extraordinary commitment and service to the skilled trades in the Palatinate region, Dirk Fischer, President of the Palatinate Chamber of Skilled Crafts , was awarded the Gold Craftsman's Badge of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) . The Gold Craftsman's Badge is the highest award in the German skilled trades. It is presented as special recognition for outstanding, long-standing service to the skilled trades.
ZDH President Jörg Dittrich presented Dirk Fischer with the award before the members of the General Assembly on June 25 in Kaiserslautern. "Dirk Fischer embodies what the skilled trades stand for: He combines entrepreneurial success with many years of voluntary commitment and a clear vision for the future of the entire sector. He not only built up his carpentry business, but also assumed responsibility, from member of the carpenters' guild to district master craftsman and finally to president of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts of the Palatinate. In his voluntary roles, he created structures, fostered trust, and inspired young people to pursue careers in the skilled trades for more than two decades. With the Gold Craftsman's Badge, we recognize this exceptional commitment," emphasized Jörg Dittrich.
Dirk Fischer, who has served as President of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts since 2019, was already active on the Chamber's board before his term in office. He also held the position of District Master Craftsman of the Southern Palatinate-German Wine Route District Association of Skilled Crafts for ten years.
President Fischer thanked Jörg Dittrich for the award. "My voluntary work in the skilled trades and my duties as president have always given me great pleasure. It is important to me to give businesses a strong voice, to represent the diversity of our trades, and to further advance skilled trades in the Palatinate together," he said after the ceremony.

"Dirk Fischer has spearheaded numerous projects and consistently champions the interests of Palatinate craftspeople at both regional and national levels. This highest award in the crafts sector is a well-deserved recognition of his long-standing and tireless dedication," said Managing Director Dr. Till Mischler, acknowledging the Chamber President's exceptional commitment to the crafts organization. "We have already accomplished a great deal together, and today's award ceremony is also a good opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for our excellent collaboration," the Managing Director added.
