Ilaria Saquella named best up-and-coming talent among hairdressers

She impressed with top performances in all disciplines: Ilaria Saquella is the German champion hairdresser. At the German Craft Skills competition in Stuttgart, Noemie Bühler and Sofia Strasser took second and third place, respectively.

On November 23, 2025, the best up-and-coming hairdressers Germany's at Federal decision “German Craft Skills” in Stuttgart. The Baden-Württemberg Hairdressing Academy hosted the Journeymen and women from ten regional associations The Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade stated in a press release that it offered the perfect stage to showcase one's skills. There, participants were treated to... real challenges on them: 

1. Task: Women's trendy look with hairstyle styling on a medium
2. Task: Men's trendy look with fashionable styling on medium
3. Task: Updo hairstyle with incorporated hairpiece on the medium 

The decisive factor in evaluating the cuts was primarily the implementation of the current fashion of the central association.

The winner of the national competition "German Craft Skills" in the hairdressing trade is Ilaria Saquella (Business: Marion Saquella Hairdressers) from Hessen, who, according to the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade, impressed with top performances in all disciplines. Behind the Newcomer of the Year 2025 were the up-and-coming salon professionals. Noemie Bühler (Business: Andreas Preßler Hair Salon) from Baden-Württemberg and Sofia Strasser (Business: Doris Jäger Hair Salon) from Bavaria. 

Celebration in Frankfurt/Main

The celebratory event for Conclusion of the performance competition takes place on 5 December 2025 The ceremony takes place in the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main. During the event, the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) the winners of the German Championship and the design competition "Good form in crafts - craftsmen design".
