Home victory for hairdresser Lea Wybranietz at the German Championship
At the German Hairdressing Championships in Stuttgart, Lea Wybranietz from Baden-Württemberg secured the title. Edgar Steinbach from Lower Saxony took second place. Third place went to Marie Bost from Saarland.

The "German Championship in Crafts – German Craft Skills" offers the best up-and-coming hairdressers in Germany the perfect stage to showcase their skills, explains the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade (ZV) in a press release. As the top hairdressing apprentices in their respective guilds, they had previously impressed at the chamber and state levels to ultimately compete in the national competition.
Competition task
A total of eight state winners participated in the 2024 national finals in Stuttgart. The participants faced real challenges. Task 1: Women's trend look with hairstyling on a model. Task 2: Men's trend look with fashionable styling on a model. Task 3: Updo with an incorporated hairpiece on a model. The evaluation of the cuts focused primarily on the implementation of the current fashion trends of the central association.
Federal winner

However, one of them mastered the challenges best: Lea Wybranietz ( training company: Salon Ralf Heiberger Haaratelier, Herdwangen-Schönach) from Baden-Württemberg . With top performances in all disciplines, she impressed at the Stuttgart Hairdressing Academy on November 10, 2024, and became the national champion. The Central Association of German Hairdressers (ZV) therefore deservedly named her Newcomer of the Year 2024.
Second place went to Edgar Steinbach ( training company: Salon Natascha Debus Friseur & Freunde, Edewecht) from Lower Saxony . Third place was taken by Marie Bost ( training company: Salon Mike Ganster, St. Ingbert ) from Saarland.
Celebration in Berlin
The awards ceremony for the competition will take place on December 7, 2024, in Berlin. During the event, all winners of the German Skilled Trades Championship and the "Good Design in Skilled Trades – Craftspeople Design" competition will be honored by the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH).
