Eric Schreber wins the championship title among scaffolders
Eric Schreber from Rhineland-Palatinate was honored as the first national scaffolding builder winner in 2024. Maurice Kutsch from North Rhine-Westphalia took second place. Benedikt Kleinfeld from Lower Saxony took third place.

Five state champions qualified for the German Scaffolding Championship on November 5, 2024. Four of them participated in the competition at the Hansemann Training Center of the Dortmund Chamber of Skilled Crafts . The quartet had to demonstrate their skills in several disciplines.

The participants creating the workpiece Photo: © Häusele/Soka Gerüstbau At the German Scaffolding Championships, three tasks had to be completed: the construction of a steel tube coupling scaffold based on a technical drawing, troubleshooting on a working scaffold constructed according to the standard design, documentation of the errors and the measures to eliminate them, and the completion of a surveying task.
The tasks were set by the evaluation committee . This included Norbert Krolle from the Fritz-Henssler-Berufskolleg of the city of Dortmund, Florian Pelmer and Andreas Eckhardt from the Hansemann training center of the Dortmund Chamber of Skilled Crafts , and Malte Kern from the company Wedekind + Kern Gerüstbau GmbH & Co. KG from Melle.
Federal winner

Runner-up the novel Maurice Kutsch (Training company: Flak & Co. Scaffolding GmbH, Dortmund) out North Rhine-Westphalia
. Benedict Kleinfeld (Training company: Graf Scaffolding GmbH, Braunschweig) out Lower Saxony took the third place.
Lennart Mitschke ( training company: Salamon Gerüstbau GmbH, Hamburg ) from Hamburg had to settle for the unenviable fourth place.
Trophies and prize money
Photo: © Häusele/Soka Gerüstbau The state winners received trophies in the form of couplings from the Dortmund Chamber of Skilled Crafts, awarded in gold, silver, bronze, and steel according to their placement. The collective bargaining parties SOKA Gerüstbau ( the scaffolding industry's social security fund) , the German Scaffolding Association , and the Industrial Union for Construction, Agriculture, and the Environment awarded a cash prize to the top three candidates.
Eric Schreber received €1.000 for winning the national competition . Maurice Kutsch, who came in second, was awarded €500 . Benedikt Kleinfeld, who finished third, received €250.
Celebration in Berlin
The awards ceremony for the competition will take place on December 7, 2024, in Berlin. During the event, all winners of the German Skilled Trades Championship and the "Good Design in Skilled Trades – Craftspeople Design" competition will be honored by the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH).
