Record participation at the German Championship of Dental Technicians
Fifteen young dental technicians competed. Louisa Krügerke from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ultimately secured the championship title. Tjorben Krüger from Lower Saxony took second place. Lisa Dyvak from North Rhine-Westphalia took third place.

Louisa Krügerke ( company: Buuck Zahntechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Malchow ) from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has won the German Championship in dental technology . In the nationwide competition on October 29, 2024, she outperformed eleven young female state champions and three young male state champions from other German states. "With 15 participants, the 2024 competition was a record year," writes the Association of German Dental Technician Guilds (VDZI) in a press release.
Tjorben Krüger ( company: Duderstädter Dental-Labor GmbH, Duderstadt ) from Lower Saxony took second place . Lisa Dyvak ( company: Dentallabor Zöllner, Rhode & Co. GmbH, Mülheim an der Ruhr ) from North Rhine-Westphalia came in third.

German Champion of Dental Technicians 2024: Louisa Krügerke Photo: © VDZI"The German Championship in dental technology is the crowning achievement for our graduating class of apprentices this year," emphasized Dominik Kruchen during the awards ceremony following the competition. All participants impressively demonstrated the skills they had acquired during their training. "But it's not just the participants who benefit from the competition, but also their training companies!" the VDZI President pointed out.
For Ludger Wagner, all 15 candidates contributed to an exciting national competition and a very close result. "In the end, small details make the difference," said the VDZI board member , who is responsible for the national competition within the association. "We want to convey to the participants that lifelong learning, for example through competitions like the German Championship in Craftsmanship, can make a positive difference in their later careers."
This year's host guild was the Dental Technicians' Guild of Lower Saxony-Bremen (ZINB). The competition was organized in partnership with the Institute of Dental Technicians in Garbsen.
Celebration in Berlin
The awards ceremony for the competition will take place on December 7, 2024, in Berlin. During the event, all winners of the German Skilled Trades Championship and the "Good Design in Skilled Trades – Craftspeople Design" competition will be honored by the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH).
