Germany's best young pastry chefs engaged in a sweet competition in Koblenz: Nine participants competed against each other in the final of the national skills competition at the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts ' Center for Nutrition and Health. According to the German Confectioners' Association, they had ten hours to create pralines, small cakes, sweet fours, a decorative piece, and hand-modeled figures, all according to precise specifications. The national competition for sales assistants in the food industry (pastry chefs) was also held in Koblenz. A jury evaluated, among other things, their skills in decorating a shop window and creating gift arrangements.

Important advertising for the craft industry

He, like the president of the German Confectioners' Association (DKB), Gerhard Schenk, appealed to the competition participants to act as multipliers in order to later inspire young journeymen to participate in the competition.
Ralf Hellrich, Managing Director of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, congratulated the participants on their outstanding results and addressed DKB: "We are delighted that you are using our facilities for this competition. We are very proud of our confectionery training program." He added with a wink to the participants: "And by the way, we also offer excellent master craftsman training here!"
