eMoovy – an electric vehicle from Iveco

Together with Hyundai, Iveco has developed the eMoovy as a chassis for the 2,5- to 3,5-ton class. The model is available with numerous body options for the single-invoice business.

Iveco is entering a new business area. While the Daily was previously the van of choice in the light commercial vehicle segment , even reaching up to 7,2 tons gross vehicle weight, the all-electric eMoovy chassis has now been developed in cooperation with Hyundai . It operates in the 2,5 to 3,5 tonnage class . The performance figures are impressive: it offers up to ten cubic meters of cargo volume and a payload of up to 1,5 tons.

The new eMoovy is the first electric chassis in its weight class and can be equipped for any application. The chassis features a 150 kW/215 hp electric motor with a maximum torque of 350 Nm . The motor draws its power from a battery pack available in two sizes: 63 kWh or 76 kWh. With the larger battery pack, the eMoovy achieves a range of up to 320 kilometers.

Thanks to its fast-charging capability, the battery can be charged at up to 350 kW, currently the best performance in this segment. In less than ten minutes, enough energy for another 100 kilometers is added to the battery. Of course, the battery can also be charged using a wallbox with up to 11 kW three-phase power or directly from a standard household outlet, which then draws between two and seven kW single-phase. In addition, the battery can also supply power and connect 230-volt devices – such as conventional power tools.

The chassis's interior is based on Hyundai's Staria platform and offers a functional working environment without completely sacrificing comfort. The driver has a 12,3-inch digital display , complemented by a 10,25-inch infotainment screen . Standard features include classic driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control with stop & go functionality, lane keeping assist, turn assist, and driver drowsiness and distraction warning systems.

The Iveco eMoovy can be ordered this month ; prices will be finalized then. However, as is typical in the commercial vehicle sector, prices are available upon request .
