The Kia PV7 celebrates its world premiere
At the IAA Transportation trade fair, Kia presents the PV7, a new, flexible electric commercial vehicle, thus expanding its product range with this van.
This article is part of the special topic " Electromobility for Trades & SMEs".
With the PV7, Kia presents the second model within its "Platform Beyond Vehicle" strategy. The PV7 is available as a cargo variant for goods transport and as a passenger version , both equipped with a flat floor and the specially developed Electric Global Modular Platform for Service (E-GMP.S). Market launch is planned for the second half of 2027.
The PV7 will be launched with two NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) batteries , offering either 71,5 or 96,2 kilowatt-hours of capacity . The larger battery should provide a range of up to 460 kilometers in the cargo version. If the battery runs out, the driver can recharge it from 10 to 80 percent in 25 minutes thanks to 800-volt technology . The maximum charging capacity is 350 kilowatts. The PV7 will also be available with different motors, delivering up to 200 kW of power and 420 newton-meters of torque.
Up to eight cubic meters of loading volume

It also comes in two lengths (with an identical wheelbase of 3,5 meters) and two roof options. The long-wheelbase version with the standard roof can accommodate up to 6,1 cubic meters of cargo , while the high-roof version offers up to eight cubic meters . The floor can then also accommodate up to three Euro pallets, provided the loaders have managed to overcome the loading height of 550 millimeters.
In terms of payload , the PV7 can carry up to 1,165 kilograms in the long-wheelbase version, while the shorter standard version can handle an impressive 1.200 kilograms . If the PV7 is fully loaded, the driver can even select a special driving mode that adjusts the vehicle's power output according to the payload, thus providing greater stability.
Modular architecture

The Kia Business Solutions ecosystem provides digital fleet management , customized APIs for data from connected vehicles, and services such as real-time monitoring and proactive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
The PV7 range is slated to expand to 23 variants by 2027; a further model series is announced for 2029. The PV7's body design follows Kia's philosophy, uniting contrasts with clean lines, a high-rising cabin, and a focus on functionality. The variants differ in seating configurations with up to nine seats, numerous cargo options, and variable interior concepts with a focus on barrier-free access and modular equipment. The Pleos Connect infotainment system with Android Automotive OS, over-the-air updates, and an open app marketplace ensures connectivity.
Safety and materials
