Neunkirchen district honors HWK young masters
29 women and men from the Neunkirchen district were honored for their outstanding achievements as young masters, apprentices and continuing education graduates.
29 women and men from the Neunkirchen district are among the successful young masters of the Saarland Chamber of Crafts (HWK) of the year 2025 and among the state's best trainees and continuing education graduates of the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the year 2024. In October, the Neunkirchen district, top municipal representatives and the Economic Development Agency of the Neunkirchen district (WFG) honored the outstanding achievements of the young masters and the IHK state's best from the region during a ceremony.
In his celebratory speech, District Administrator Sören Meng emphasized: "Especially in these turbulent times, when buzzwords like economic downturn, skilled labor shortages, or rising energy prices dominate, these graduates are important role models. Their training strengthens our economy and our region sustainably." Chamber of Industry and Commerce President Helmut Zimmer emphasized: "Skilled trades are more important than ever and a mainstay of the Saarland economy. The achievements of our young master craftsmen are underscored by events like this." Mathias Lauer of the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce praised the intensive training and continuing education program that made the success of the state's best possible. As a token of recognition, District Administrator Sören Meng, WFG Managing Director Klaus Häusler, and the respective mayors presented the honorees with a certificate and a personalized ballpoint pen bearing their names.
