SC Preußen Münster joined an alliance for vocational training at the end of April – as the second football club in the Münster chamber district.
"Future Game Plan - Your Path to a Career" is the name of the alliance with which the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia, together with women's and men's football clubs, is setting new impulses for recruiting skilled workers.
SC Preußen Münster is now also participating in the initiative, becoming the 13th club nationwide. FC Schalke 04 had previously joined the "home game" program in the chamber district.
The initiative aims to leverage the power of football to enhance the appeal of dual vocational training and provide guidance to young people transitioning from school to work. In Münster, SC Preußen Münster has formed a collaborative partnership with various institutions. Working together with the City of Münster , the Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HWK), the North Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) , the Münster District Association of Skilled Crafts (KH) , and the Ahlen-Münster Employment Agency, the club is committed to improving the prospects of young people and attracting skilled workers to the region. The foundation for this unique collaboration between business, education, and sports was laid at SC Preußen Münster's home ground.
Around 40 young people, including numerous players from the club's own youth academy, were invited to the launch event of this collaborative initiative, whose activities are communicated under the umbrella brand "Heimspiel Zukunft" (Home Game Future). This underscores SC Preußen Münster 's commitment to supporting young talent not only in their athletic development but also in their professional careers.
Labor Minister Karl-Josef Laumann praised the commitment: "With this kick-off event, SC Preußen Münster impressively demonstrates the creative power of football when it comes to opening up prospects for young people's professional futures. Together with all stakeholders in career guidance and training, precisely the bridges are being built here that we so urgently need in North Rhine-Westphalia. Good training creates security for the individual, economic strength, but also democratic stability."
During a stadium rally, participants were informed about various apprenticeship opportunities at different stations throughout the venue. Information was provided on training in both competitive and recreational sports, along with time for networking and discussion.
