New AI funding also for craft businesses

The Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HWK) is drawing the attention of craft businesses in the chamber district to the new funding program "NRW.Bank.Impuls KI".

From Monday, August 17, 2026, small and medium-sized enterprises in North Rhine-Westphalia can apply for subsidies for getting started with the use of artificial intelligence via the "NRW.Bank.Impuls KI" program in the NRW.Bank customer portal.

Funding is provided for, among other things, consulting services, the development and testing of AI applications, as well as the necessary software and hardware for pilot projects.

The subsidy amounts to up to 50 percent of the eligible costs, with a maximum of 25.000 euros per company.

Background: AI in business Background Artificial intelligence can support craft businesses, for example, in office organization, scheduling, preparing offers or documenting work processes, thus saving time and making processes more efficient, according to the Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts.
