Avoiding cyberattacks: IT security in 30 minutes
HWK Münster and IHK Nord Westfalen are offering the free online seminar series "Tools, methods, instruments for IT protection" starting on September 8th.
How secure are email accounts, passwords, and networks within your own company? And what should you do if a cyberattack occurs despite all precautions? Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular face the challenge of implementing appropriate IT security measures with limited time and personnel resources. The Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts and the North Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) are therefore offering the free online seminar series "Tools, Methods, and Instruments for IT Security" starting September 8, 2026. The sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. The format is intentionally concise: In 30-minute sessions, IT security experts from North Westphalian businesses will provide information and practical solutions. Participants will then have the opportunity to ask questions.
The range of topics includes raising employee awareness of cyber threats, IT security strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises, network and email security, cyber insurance, and the secure use of artificial intelligence. Further sessions will cover IT emergency plans, information security management, password security, and the correct procedures following a cyberattack.
