Support for successful completion
New contact options for apprenticeship support at the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts are intended to help prevent apprenticeship dropouts in the future.
New posters in vocational schools draw trainees' attention to the support services offered by the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK Koblenz). QR codes facilitate contact. Photo: © HwK Koblenz The Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK) is further expanding its long-standing project "Apprenticeship Support to Prevent Dropouts." This proven support program is aimed at apprentices who encounter academic, workplace, or personal difficulties during their training. The goal is to reach young people early on, provide them with individualized support, and thus sustainably prevent apprenticeship dropouts. New this year is direct and easily accessible access for apprentices through the region's vocational schools. The David Roentgen School in Neuwied recently launched the program: Posters with a QR code are being displayed in all classrooms, allowing apprentices to contact the project team directly. "Many young people hesitate to seek help. A quick, digital, and uncomplicated initial contact significantly lowers the barrier to seeking help," explains the HwK Koblenz project team. HwK advisors provide confidential and unbureaucratic support to apprentices and, if necessary, involve companies, vocational schools, or counseling centers in finding solutions.
Background: Training support Background With this new initiative at vocational schools, the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK Koblenz) reaffirms its commitment to continuously supporting young people and helping them successfully complete their vocational training. The free service is confidential, impartial, and funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Transformation and Digitalization.
Online The QR code on the posters leads the trainees to this clear contact form.
