A UNESCO group and a delegation from Egypt exchanged views on vocational training standards at the Koblenz Vocational Training and Technology Centre.
Education experts from 26 nations visited the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK) to learn about vocational training. During a tour of the training centers, they were introduced to the technical equipment, training content, and also had the opportunity to speak with apprentices. From Canada, Brazil, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Tajikistan, and Indonesia – spanning four continents – these education experts and the HwK are united by their collaboration within the network of the International Centre for Vocational Education and Training (UNEVOC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
On the same day, the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trades (HwK Koblenz) welcomed a delegation from Egypt. The visit was part of a collaborative project between the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH and Egyptian educational institutions. The focus of the visit was on vocational training in several automotive trades, including automotive technicians and automotive painters.
