Mastering the future with expertise
Master automotive technician and certified business administrator Tobias Wolff combines technical skills and business management competencies to successfully manage responsibility.
From his first school internship to being named the top automotive technician in his year at the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK): Tobias Wolff from Neuwied has consistently pursued his career in the skilled trades. At the HwK's grand master craftsman ceremony, he recently received his master craftsman's certificate and was also able to call himself a "Certified Business Administrator according to the Skilled Crafts Code (HwO)." The 27-year-old knew early on what motivated him: creating practical and tangible results, implementing technical solutions with his own hands. With his master craftsman's certificate, he had a clear goal in mind: to take the step from simply "tightening screws" to holistic business management and build the foundation for potential self-employment.
That his dedication pays off was already evident during his master craftsman training: Tobias Wolff received a concrete opportunity to take over a workshop. To be able to thoroughly assess the risks, he immediately pursued the qualification of Certified Business Administrator. He passed the exam as the top student in his class and with the second-best result in 2025 at the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts. In his professional future, Tobias Wolff envisions himself as a site manager or owner of his own company – always open to new projects and challenges where he can take on responsibility and shape the future. With the strong combination of his master craftsman and business administrator qualifications, he has created the ideal foundation for this.
Background: Training Background The title "Certified Business Administrator (HwO)" is the highest level of advanced business administration training in the skilled trades. Funding through the Federal Training Assistance Act (Aufstiegs-BAföG) is possible.
