Founders' Award recognizes successful business succession

Boat and shipbuilding master Annabelle Scherhag from Koblenz receives an award for the exemplary continuation of a traditional company.

"With the Founders' Award, we highlight what women in Rhineland-Palatinate achieve every day: They start businesses, take on responsibility, and drive our economy forward with their ideas," emphasized [name/title of speaker]. Minister for Women Katharina Binz at the award ceremony in Mainz as part of the Women Entrepreneurs' Day.

The awards were presented by Minister of Economic Affairs Daniela Schmitt and Minister for Women Katharina Binz, together with Sandra Baumbach, board member of the state-owned investment and structural bank. One of the three Award winners of the Rhineland-Palatinate Women Founders Award 2025 is Annabelle Scherhag from Koblenz.

She received the award, endowed with €5.000, in the category of "Business Succession." The master boat and shipbuilder and entrepreneur was honored for the successful takeover of the Grühn water sports center in Koblenz-Metternich.
