The Championnat du Chocolat of the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts crowned Germany's best chocolatiers and enchanted with sweet moments of indulgence.
Craftsmanship, sweet temptations, and boundless creativity: The "Le Championnat du Chocolat à Coblence" chocolate festival recently brought together Germany's best confectioners in the city at the Deutsches Eck (German Corner). In the festive and modern ambiance of the Rhein-Mosel-Halle, the chocolatiers presented their unique creations to a large audience over two exciting days. Fascinating live demonstrations allowed the approximately 3.500 visitors to experience the artisanal excellence of modern confectionery. A diverse range of top-quality products featuring the cocoa bean – from timeless classics and spring-inspired compositions to the latest trends – ensured a truly exceptional culinary experience. For the second time, this premier culinary event and renowned networking highlight of the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK) served as the stage for the German Chocolate Championship. Annika Weiser from Buseck in Hesse emerged as the new "German Champion of Chocolate Artistic Performance" from among 21 contenders in the expert category, impressing twice over: In addition to the jury's award, she also received the audience prize. In the junior category "Chocolate Freestyle," Julia Trumpler from Hambuch in Rhineland-Palatinate also celebrated a double victory: She too secured first place among 35 participating apprentices and the audience prize, captivating both the judges and the spectators with her showpiece.
