Business takeover as an opportunity for self-realization
Taking over as an alternative to starting a business: The business exchange of the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts brings together craft businesses and potential successors.
In the coming years, around 190.000 companies in Germany will be passed on to the next generation. "We hope that our long-established company will continue its success story in the future," emphasize Lilli Weiler and Friedhelm Göron. They are looking for a motivated successor to take over Mais GmbH in Koblenz . As employees and colleagues, the two jointly took over the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning (SHK) business, founded in 1867, over 30 years ago.
At the "Succession Beach" event on the city beach in Koblenz, the managing director duo consulted with business advisors from the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HwK) about suitable ways to connect with potential buyers. One option is the Chamber's business exchange . This platform connects craft businesses from northern Rhineland-Palatinate with aspiring entrepreneurs and also facilitates the placement of business managers and commercial properties. A look at the exchange is worthwhile – currently, 128 craft businesses are seeking a successor.
