The Trier Chamber of Skilled Crafts honors Rokhsar Akrami as "Apprentice of the Month" – for his courage to make decisions, strong achievements and his fine sense for people.

Rokhsar Akrami She has always enjoyed being creative. During her childhood in Afghanistan She tried out different hairstyles. But that she would one day become a hairdresser was far from certain for a long time. At the age of twelve, she came to Germany with her family and went to Trier She went to secondary school. At 14, she picked up scissors. Her brothers were rather reluctant to use them as practice heads. Her mother, on the other hand, readily trusted her. In her memory, she describes her early experiments as "rather compact cuts."

Rokhsar realized her path could be different. Each program started in the summer. And instead of waiting half a year, she used the time wisely. A friend gave her the idea to do a gap year in the... Hairdressing profession to get a taste of it. After two trial days in the Salon Perfect Color World In Schweich she realized that the profession and the team suited her: "Since I enjoy being creative and working with people, hairdressing was the right choice for me. I completed my vocational diploma in December and started my apprenticeship in January. It couldn't have gone better." 

Responsibility after only a few weeks

After just a few weeks, the young woman from Trier was allowed to take on responsibility and mastered her first challenging haircut. "That was a big challenge, but that's how you learn." Today she is particularly interested in balayage and natural looks, draws inspiration from social media, and continues to develop her style. "I was especially proud when I did my first complete color change on my own." She enjoys working with people and has a keen sense of what suits them. When a vague idea When a satisfied smile appears at the end, it makes her happy every time. "If the customers are satisfied, that makes me happy too."

Rokhsar stays engaged and continues her professional development through on-the-job training, courses, and trade fairs. Her passion for her profession is paying off: She was awarded early She did well on her intermediate exam. Based on her performance, the 21-year-old is now shortening her apprenticeship to a total of two years. After the She plans to gain initial professional experience as a journeyman after her apprenticeship. And then? "I can well imagine becoming a master hairdresser. Or perhaps even studying to pass on my knowledge of the hairdressing trade to the next generation at a vocational school."

For her courageous path, her good achievements and her commitment, the Trier Chamber of Skilled Crafts Rokhsar Akrami She was selected as "Apprentice of the Month." The award ceremony took place in a special setting. While these young people are still gaining their first experiences, Rokhsar is already several steps ahead – and a role model of where this beginning can lead. Her advice to everyone who hasn't yet found their path: "Do an internship and get to know the profession. Anyone who is creative, enjoys working with people, and is open to new things can be very happy in the hairdressing industry."
