Future projects: How construction is changing

Sustainability, new building materials, innovative construction methods, and technologies such as artificial intelligence are fundamentally changing the construction industry. This development presents new challenges for planning, implementation, and legal frameworks.

The event " Projects of the Future ," taking place on October 29th from 13 p.m. to 17 p.m. at the Trier Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Trier), will address this complex issue : How can innovative and sustainable construction projects be implemented in a legally compliant manner? What requirements arise for construction contracts and tendering procedures when technological developments overtake existing legal structures? Organized by Kohl Law in cooperation with EIC Trier - IHK/HWK European and Innovation Centre GmbH, the event is part of the "Future of Construction" initiative. Its aim is to examine current developments in the construction industry from the perspectives of construction management, building technology, and law. The focus will be on how new materials, technologies, and processes can be implemented in a practical and legally sound manner.

The event will begin with keynote speeches offering insights from business, planning, construction administration, law, and academia. Following these presentations, experts will discuss key issues at the intersection of technology, construction practice, and law in an interdisciplinary panel discussion . The event is aimed at professionals from the construction industry, planning, administration, and law who deal with current developments and challenges in the construction sector.
