The city of Trier presented the Trier Chamber of Skilled Crafts with a ginkgo tree in recognition of the services of its former Chamber President Rudi Müller.
A tree for a master carpenter – it couldn't be more fitting. It was a gesture of appreciation and depth that the city of Trier made to the Trier Chamber of Skilled Crafts for the services of its former president, Rudi Müller : a ginkgo tree.
Rudi Müller shaped the Chamber for twenty years as its president – steadfast, persistent, and deeply rooted in the trades. Mayor Wolfram Leibe, Honorary President of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Rudi Müller (left), and President Bernd Elsen (right) planted the tree in front of the Campus Handwerk (Campus for Skilled Crafts). A fitting location: where learning, work, and creation take place, the tree can now grow and serve as a reminder of commitment, perseverance, and a vision for the future. The ginkgo is considered a climate-resilient tree. It is robust against heat, drought, and exhaust fumes. It is hardly susceptible to pests or fungi. It also thrives in compacted and sealed urban soils.
