PPP scholarship funds stay in the USA for young tradespeople

Young professionals up to the age of 24 with completed vocational training can apply for a one-year scholarship to the USA until September 11, 2026. Departure is in summer 2027.

The Parliamentary Sponsorship Program (PPP) is entering its 44th year. This scholarship program of the German Bundestag and the US Congress enables young professionals to spend a year in the USA or Germany.

The Junior Ambassadors' stay in the USA is divided into two parts: They spend four months at college . Afterwards, they work for six months as interns in an American company. The PPP participants stay with host families and volunteer locally. Members of the German Bundestag support the program through a mentorship program.

Cultural Vistas gGmbH is responsible for implementing the Parliamentary Sponsorship Program for young professionals . According to its own statements, this non-profit exchange organization has been promoting international dialogue and global cooperation for more than 50 years.

Professionally qualified individuals up to the age of 24 who have completed vocational training by the time of departure in August 2027 are eligible to apply . The application deadline for the PPP 2026/2027 is September 11, 2026.
