Campus Hearing Acoustics receives SoVD seal of approval for inclusion

For outstanding achievements in the inclusion and education of people with disabilities: The Campus Hörakustik in Lübeck receives the SoVD seal of approval from the German Social Association.

Consistent and exemplary implementation of inclusive educational programs

The German Social Association (Sozialverband Deutschland) awarded the seal of approval to the Campus Hörakustik (Hearing Acoustics Campus) in recognition of its "consistent and exemplary implementation of inclusive educational programs." Every year, several thousand trainees from across Germany complete parts of their dual vocational training here. The Campus Hörakustik has been setting standards for the equal participation of people with disabilities and diverse support needs for many years, the association stated.

"For us, inclusion is not an additional service, but a fundamental component of our educational mission," explains Marcus Nissen, Head of the Education Management Department at the Academy for Hearing Acoustics on the Hearing Acoustics Campus. "We create conditions that offer all trainees the best possible opportunities for a successful vocational qualification – regardless of individual circumstances or limitations."

The Social Association of Germany (SoVD) has been advocating for the rights of people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and social disadvantages since 1917. The SoVD seal of approval recognizes institutions and organizations that not only promote inclusion but actively practice it. "The Campus Hearing Acoustics demonstrates in an exemplary way how inclusive education can succeed," emphasizes [name of speaker/organization]. Ulrich Hase, The former state commissioner for the concerns of people with disabilities and inclusion advisor at the Hearing Acoustics Campus adds: "Hearing aid acousticians across Germany are committed to improving communication conditions for people with hearing impairments and are ambassadors for inclusion and accessibility." The director of studies says they want to take the award as an incentive to find new ways to make participation even more natural and to remain a beacon of lived inclusion as a campus. The award also recognizes the socially important work of hearing aid specialists who help people with hearing loss achieve greater participation in social life. Through modern hearing systems, individual consultations, and long-term support, hearing aid specialists make a significant contribution to reducing communication barriers and sustainably improving the quality of life for people with hearing loss, according to the German Social Association.
