Toll Collect: TollNow toll app now available for Android and iOS

The truck toll system can now be used by everyone via the "TollNow" app from Toll Collect. The app is now available for Android and iOS. The target group is "occasional users".

The truck toll system can also be used via an app. The target group is "occasional users." A permanently installed on-board unit (OBU) in the vehicle is no longer necessary for them. The app is not intended as an alternative to a traditional in-vehicle device, but rather as a further development of the manual procedure.

The app was initially available for the iOS operating system from 2026, and since the beginning of July 2026 it has also been available for Android devices in the Google Play Store.

✔️ The route is booked during the journey using location data from a mobile device, such as a smartphone. Verification that the toll has been paid correctly is carried out via license plate recognition.

✔️ The "TollNow" app from Toll Collect GmbH serves as the booking channel and must be installed on a device carried by the driver. Afterwards, a registered vehicle can be selected using its license plate number. 

✔️ Rebooking, for example due to an unforeseen route closure, is therefore no longer necessary, as was the case with the previous manual procedure.

✔️ The app can be used in German, English, French, Polish, Dutch, Russian, Czech and Romanian.
