Makita is introducing a battery-powered motor unit for the 40V XGT system, replacing traditional petrol engines and opening up new possibilities for use in professional construction equipment.
Makita introduces the GU01G motor unit for the 40-volt XGT system. This is specifically designed for the Replacement for classic gasoline engines with a displacement of 25 to 50 cubic centimeters has been developed.
The GU01G motor unit achieves a maximum electrical output of up to 1,5 kilowatts. It was designed to replace classic gasoline engines and enable the switch to modern, emission-free drive solutions. Thanks to standardized mounting dimensions that are compatible with common motors such as the GX35 type, the unit can be easily integrated into existing machines.
The The XGT system currently includes over 230 devices. and offers a platform for diverse applications – from professional garden equipment and construction machinery to specialized applications. The motor unit combines the motor, control system, and power supply in a single, coordinated system. This results in reduced development work for manufacturers and guarantees compliance with safety and performance standards.
For the transition to battery technology, the GU01G offers various power transmission options and individually configurable controls. The controller can be programmed via an adapter – for example, to adjust the speed or to define automatic shut-off times.
