Kärcher and Stihl are cooperating in the field of battery technology and are introducing a joint, cross-brand system for professional users.
Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG and Andreas Stihl AG & Co. KG are launching their joint battery alliance . The goal of this strategic partnership is to offer professional users a high- performance and future-proof battery standard . At the heart of the alliance is the Allpro battery system developed by Stihl , which will be used in the professional tools of both brands. This will enable seamless battery use in high-performance 36-volt tools across construction sites, landscaping, and cleaning applications.
Professional users benefit from a system that combines high performance with exceptional flexibility. In the future, the same high-performance batteries and chargers can be used for both Kärcher cleaning equipment and Stihl power tools . Stihl customers benefit from full compatibility with the existing AP system ; existing AP batteries can be used with all new Kärcher battery-powered tools.
For Kärcher customers, Allpro is a new platform. Kärcher guarantees continued service, spare parts, and battery availability for existing devices from the previous Battery Universe. The new batteries will be available from Stihl dealers starting August 1, 2026. Kärcher will launch the batteries and devices on January 1, 2027.
The Allpro system is based on Tabless technology for high-performance batteries. This new, cross-brand battery system offers users a selection for different requirements, divided into two technology levels. The entry-level models are the AP 20.1 and AP 30.1 with standard cells in the new Allpro design. The high-end models AP 100 P, AP 200 P, and AP 300 P (Connected) utilize a Tabless cell architecture. This reduces internal resistance, which in turn reduces heat generation, halves charging times, and doubles the lifespan to up to 3.000 charge cycles without any loss of performance.

In addition, further cooperation partners from the fields of forestry winches, tool carriers, and mobile refueling systems will use the Allpro system. Users in forestry, horticulture and landscaping, construction, facility management, and aid organizations can thus access over 120 devices that operate with the same battery packs. Sophisticated energy and charging management completes the offering.
