How AI and digitalization support the skilled trades

The Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Handwerk (MDZH) am Koblenz location Its focus is on digitalization and artificial intelligence in the skilled trades. The Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Handwerk (SME Digital Center for Crafts) follows the approach: "From the crafts sector for the crafts sector." It deliberately works in a practical manner with workshops, construction sites and businesses and sees itself nationwide as the interface between digital innovation and operational reality.
Connemann was accompanied by the Koblenz Member of Parliament Josef Oster (CDU). Chamber of Skilled Crafts President Kurt Krautscheid, Managing Director Ralf Hellrich and the project manager of the Koblenz MDZH Christopher Krause The politicians were informed.

Connemann also explored the center's technology experience centers. At demonstration sites distributed throughout Germany, tradespeople can directly test new technologies – from Drones and laser systems, from digital surveying to roboticsA robot demonstrator exemplified how AI and machine assistance could be used in various trades in the future and what role craftsmanship plays in industrial value chains.
