Efficiency House 55-Plus: Federal funding runs longer

The KfW's Efficiency House 55 Plus subsidy program has been extended. €343 million remains in the funding pool. The program will continue until the funds are exhausted, but no later than the end of 2026.

With this funding, the federal government aims to promote the so-called Activate the construction backlog. This refers to construction projects that have already been approved, but where construction has not yet begun. This is a key requirement for funding: a valid building permit must be in place at the time of application, but construction must not have started.

The maximum loan amount is €100.000 per residential unit. Loan terms are up to 35 years, with a maximum fixed interest rate period of ten years. ✔️ Funding is provided through subsidized KfW loans. Efficiency House 55 funding is integrated into the existing KfW funding program "Climate-friendly new construction" integrated.
