Charity tour: Chimney sweeps raise half a million euros for sick children

Record donations: Chimney sweeps raised more than half a million euros for sick children on their 2026 charity tour. The 1.000-kilometer, seven-stage cycling tour ended in Straubing at the national association's annual meeting.

The 21st "Glückstour" (Lucky Tour) of the chimney sweep trade in 2026 ended after around 1.000 kilometers and seven stages by racing bike at the Federal Association Day of the Chimney Sweep Trade in Straubing (Bavaria).

The Lucky Tour is a private aid organization that has been collecting donations annually since 2006 for children with cancer, serious illnesses, and trauma.

Along the way, the chimney sweeps, their families, friends and supporters handed over donation checks to a total of 71 regional associations, organizations and affected families

More than one half a million euros donations According to the organizers, the Glückstour (Lucky Tour) has donated a record sum. The Glückstour is now one of the largest private fundraising organizations in Germany.
