Craftspeople and designers from all over Germany are invited to participate in the European Days of Crafts (ETAK).
The European Days of Crafts, or ETAK for short, are a long weekend of open workshops and studios and will take place next spring from April 10-12, 2026 The event will take place. All craftspeople, businesses and designers who fall within the field of the craft-based cultural and creative industries can participate – from building culture to musical instrument making, goldsmiths and silversmiths, turners, restorers, textile designers, ceramicists and many more.
24 countries across Europe are participating. In Germany, ETAK is represented in eleven federal states.
Whether to hold an "open day", offer hands-on workshops, or organize an exhibition is entirely up to each participant. They can also decide whether their offering is geared more towards children and teenagers, families, or adult visitors.
Museums, theatres, operas, universities, public institutions and many others also offer exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and other activities related to arts and crafts.
