AI assistant helps electrical companies with quote calculations.

A new tendering tool for the electrical trades on the "electrofy" platform is intended to make manual bid calculation unnecessary and deliver calculable, exportable results in a short time.

An AI assistant is now available on the software-as-a-service platform " electrofy ". It can capture and analyze tenders uploaded by electrical contractors. The content of the GAEB or PDF files is combined with the KFE calculation tool , a comprehensive database of electrical trades, and compared with its more than 300.000 service items.

"Within just a few minutes, the system delivers a list in which every item is clearly displayed, allowing its accuracy to be confirmed," explains the Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (ZVEH) in a press release. The final list can then be easily exported to the format required by the electrical contractor (PDF, CSV, xiopd, or GAEB/Datanorm).

“Whereas companies previously needed half a day to process a tender, thanks to our tender assistant, the process now only takes them a few minutes. This means they can submit significantly more bids and thus increase their chances of winning the contract,” says Ludwig Klatzka, Managing Director of MDA Solutions GmbH. The ZVEH (Central Association of the German Electrical and Information Technology Trades) holds a stake in the Munich-based start-up through a subsidiary, the economic development agency for the electrical trades.
