Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA presents two new mini excavators, the SV26-7 and ViO27-7, designed for tight and demanding construction sites. These models combine a compact design, efficiency, and user-friendly operation.

Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar) has introduced two new mini excavators for the European market: the SV26-7 and the ViO27-7 . These models represent the next generation in the highly competitive compact machine segment and are designed for applications in construction, landscaping, and urban environments. The machines address the growing demand for compact, reliable solutions in the 2- to 3-ton segment, which is particularly relevant for rental fleets.

Both the ViO27-7, with its zero-tail-swing concept and 750-millimeter tail swing radius, and the SV26-7, with its short-tail design and optimized counterweight, enable precise work in confined spaces. The SV26-7 has a tail swing radius of 1.165 millimeters, or 1.240 millimeters with the counterweight. The overall widths are 1.550 millimeters for the SV26-7 and 1.500 millimeters for the ViO27-7. Both models thus ensure access to narrow construction sites and facilitate transport on vehicles.

Performance data and ergonomics are the focus

Both machines are powered by the proven Yanmar 3TNV80F engine . The net power output is 17,7 kilowatts, and the gross power output is 18,4 kilowatts at 2.800 revolutions per minute. Digging forces reach up to 21,4 kilonewtons at the bucket and 16,5 kilonewtons at the stick. The maximum digging depth is up to 3.025 millimeters. Furthermore, the models offer a tractive force of up to 23,5 kilonewtons and, thanks to swing angles of 75 degrees to the left and 60 degrees to the right, allow for efficient work along structures or in confined spaces.

The hydraulic ViPPS system developed by Yanmar allows for smooth, combined movements, even while driving. This ensures precise control, even for complex tasks . Stability was a key focus in both models: The SV26-7 emphasizes a balanced design and reinforced rear structure for high lifting capacities, even with heavy attachments or on uneven terrain. Despite its zero-tail-swing design, the ViO27-7 offers a stable and easily controllable work platform thanks to its robust chassis and optimized weight distribution. An increase in lifting capacity of up to eleven percent at the front further enhances the versatility of these machines.

Ease of use and flexibility of application

The new generation of mini excavators was developed with the operator in mind . Spacious cabs, easy access, excellent all-around visibility, and intuitive controls ensure safety and comfort in everyday work . The ergonomic design helps reduce fatigue during extended use – a particular advantage for the rental business, where many different users access the machines.

Both models are suitable for a wide range of applications – from urban construction projects and pipeline and landscaping work to smaller projects, including those in the private sector. The ViO27-7 is particularly well-suited for confined spaces, while the SV26-7 offers additional stability and lifting capacity for more demanding applications.

Transport and maintenance optimized

Both mini excavators remain below the 3,5-ton limit relevant for many transport vehicles, even with standard equipment such as quick couplers and three buckets. Generously sized maintenance openings ensure quick access to key components and facilitate daily checks and maintenance.
