All engines meet the Euro 6 emissions standard

The new Citroën C4 aims to impress customers with efficient engines and upscale features. At the same time, it focuses on everyday usability with a spacious trunk.

A new year has begun, and for numerous automakers, that means new models, or at least updated ones, are being launched. Citroën is no exception. The French manufacturer is presenting its compact C4 with numerous new engines and features. But first things first.

All Citroën C4 engines comply with the Euro 6 emissions standard, thus significantly reducing the model range's overall fuel consumption, according to Citroën. The petrol engines all feature the three-cylinder PureTech technology. The PureTech 110 with a five-speed manual transmission and the PureTech 110 with a five-speed manual transmission are available. 130 Stop&Start with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission (EAT6). The BlueHDi 100 (five-speed manual transmission), BlueHDi 100 Stop&Start 86g (five-speed manual transmission), and BlueHDi 120 Stop&Start (six-speed manual transmission) diesel engines are also available. With CO2 emissions of 86 grams per kilometer (combined fuel consumption), the Citroën C4 BlueHDi 100 Stop&Start 86g achieves a segment-leading figure, according to the company.

CO2 emissions between 86 and 117 grams per kilometer

Depending on fuel consumption, the Citroën C4 consumes between 3,3 and 5,1 liters per 100 kilometers and emits between 86 and 117 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The BlueHDi 150 Stop&Start engine with a six-speed manual transmission will also be available to order from the end of January.

The compact sedan boasts a spacious interior and a trunk volume of 408 liters. To ensure the driver's comfort, the driver's seat is optionally equipped with a massage function and electric lumbar support.

The Citroën C4 features new, useful, and intuitive technologies, according to the company. All important media and navigation functions can be controlled via the seven-inch touchscreen (standard from the Selection trim level). The Keyless Entry and Start system is standard on the Shine trim level. The Citroën C4 is also equipped with front and rear parking sensors (standard from the Shine trim level) and optionally with Blind Spot Assist. On-board connectivity is provided by the Citroën Connect Box (from the Selection trim level) – including the emergency call and assistance system, a virtual maintenance log, and the Eco Driving service, all accessible online.

The Citroën C4 is available in Live, Business Class, Selection, and Shine trim levels. Prices for the Citroën C4 start at €16.990.
