Rhineland-Palatinate state election: Positions on skilled trades

Craft policy

Before the state elections on March 22nd, we asked: What do the SPD, CDU, Greens, FDP, AfD and Free Voters say about the demands of the Rhineland-Palatinate trades sector?

State elections will be held in Rhineland-Palatinate on March 22, 2026. In the run-up to the election, the trade associations have presented their... Demands published. In it, they outline the framework conditions necessary to ensure the future viability of skilled trades in the country.

We asked the six parliamentary groups represented in the state parliament how they feel about the positions of the Rhineland-Palatinate trades sector:

✔️How do they intend to improve the framework conditions for companies, employees and trainees?

✔️ What would you do as the future state government to ensure that an "industrial electricity tariff" also reaches the trades?

✔️ How will they decisively reduce bureaucracy, advance the education initiative, and strengthen the – also societal – equality of dual vocational training and university studies in the future?
